Art has always been a part of my life since I drew the Beatles on my black board when I was 8 years old.

I love to be creative and challenge myself. To me, inspiration is part of who we are, what we see, how we see it, hear it, smell it, and it comes from within our souls. It is our unique individual language.

I start with a white canvas and put some texture or mark making on before painting. I quite often figure out my colour combination before applying paint or sometimes just go for it and see what happens while experimenting with colour.

My work has definitely changed over time with my travels and life's experiences. Today, my passion is painting abstracts with acrylic trying new ways of getting to somewhere where in my work that is pleasing to my eye. I love texture and simplification of colour, shapes and values.

As long as I have this burning desire to keep painting, I will continue to grow, paint as often as I can and enjoy the gift of creating.
